A dark timber frame sits across the shopfront, set against a sprayed texture wall that softens the street edge and lets the joinery read on its own. Behind it, small slate tiles run underfoot the way they would outdoors, so the dining room never quite commits to being inside. Jung Hee is a Korean fusion brand opening its first Malaysian outlet, its menu built from the traditional dishes of the founder's mother and reworked with newer technique. The interior follows the same method. Traditional Korean building elements were carried in and redrawn in the studio's own detailing rather than reproduced. Stone tiling layers texture across the walls. Custom pendants hang in slim steel frames stretched with linen, folding the light instead of enclosing it. Hemp screens and solid timber furniture hold the room in a warm, low register.
